Spotlight: Hockey star by day... boardroom executive by night? No problem for the ever-versatile Angela Ruggiero. After finishing with a bronze medal in the 2006 Torino Olympics to add to her collection of silver from 2002 and gold in 1998, she packed her bags for a whirlwind tour of Beijing, San Juan, and Houston. Walking the Great Wall and swimming the beaches of Puerto Rico were nothing compared to her latest feat: floating weightlessly in midair. Now let's hope she can use her telepathic powers to sway the Donald's mind during the next season of The Apprentice.
Friends: Her brother Bill, with whom she played in a game for the Tulsa Oilers last year. She became the first woman to play in a men's professional hockey game in a position other than goalie, and they were the first brother-sister duo in a North American professional hockey game.
Enemies: Team Canada. Not only did their archrival beat the U.S. women for gold in 2002, but Ruggiero accused its players of running up the score in 2006 against weaker teams such as Italy and Russia. Those North American bullies.
Most prized possession: Her Harvard sweatpants (also serves as a wedding gift).
Dream Car: Subaru WRX.
Aspirations: To be Bono.
In her own words: In an OffThePodium.com interview, when asked whether she had ever broken any bones, she replied, "Left leg…have broken some opponents' bones too."
