James J. "Gus" Siragusa Jr., 80

Professions: Served as a flight surgeon for the Navy in the Korean War; OB-GYN specialist in North Adams, Mass. and Springfield, Mass., from 1956-88; president of the Massachusetts Medical Society, publisher of the New England Journal of Medicine, 1987-88; president of the Hampden District Medical Society, 1963-84.

Degrees: M.D. Boston University; A.B. Harvard College, 1947.

Death: September 17, 2006 in Winthrop, ME.
