Robert Hoffman, 59

Professions: Co-founder and former managing editor of the National Lampoon; head of Coca Cola Bottling Group/Southwest, which grew to be the fifth-largest enterprise of its kind in the country during his tenure; chair of the Dallas Plan; instrumental in the growth of Automated & Custom Food Services; founder of Abucus and Jasper restaurants.

Degrees: A.B. from Harvard, 1969, graduating cum laude as a John Harvard Scholar; M.B.A. from Harvard, 1972, graduating with high distinction as a Baker Scholar.

Passions: Amassed one of the world’s largest art collections, making a generous bequest of contemporary art to the Dallas Museum of Art in 2005; trustee of the Harvard Lampoon for thirty-seven years, earning the title of Trustee Ad Infinitum!

Death: August 20, 2006, of acute myelogenous leukemia.
