Robert Peckham, 81
Professions: Judge, Pro Tem, Magistrate's Court in Clarke County, Georgia; Assistant Professor of Law and Director of Legal Aid and Defender Society at UGA until 1986; Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army and member of the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, retiring in 1968.
Degrees: Graduated from the United States Military Academy, 1947; J.D. from Harvard Law School, 1955.
Passions: Founding member of the Classic City Band in Athens, Georgia; member of Windjammers Unlimited, a circus music historical society (elected to the Windjammers Hall of Fame in 2000); played trombone in both these groups.
Death: July 19, 2006, while on vacation in Des Moines, Iowa.
