Professions: Practiced and taught medicine at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. for over 33 years, holding positions such as chief of hematology and oncology, chief of medicine, and chairman of the departments of medicine; visiting physician and consultant at Holyoke Hospital, Mercy Hospital and Wesson Memorial Hospital; taught at New York University College of Medicine, Albany Medical College, the University of Massachusetts, and Tufts University School of Medicine; Lieutenant in the Medical Corps of the United States Naval Reserve.
Degrees: A.B. from Harvard, 1941; M.D. from Harvard Medical School, 1944.
Death: July 7, 2006, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass.
