Richard Paddock Davenport, 85

Professions: Enlisted in the Navy during WWII, rising to the rank of Lieutenant J.G.; senior engineer at the Montana Power Company.

Degrees: Received his B.A. from Whitman College; attended Columbia University; studied at M.I.T.; graduated from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Harvard in 1948; studied at Montana State University.

Death: June 15, 2006, in Butte, Mont.
