Profession: Bank of America public relations officer; part owner and operator of a heavy equipment company; a highly decorated WWII veteran of the medical department of the Army.

Degree: Earned his M.B.A. from Harvard in 1950.

Passions: Collecting and restoring cars, reading, football, fishing, and Lawrence Welk music.

Remarkable: Born in Washington in 1913, he grew up as a sole provider for his mother and brother during the Great Depression.

Death: May 28, 2006
