Robert Dunn devoted his life to helping others through the study of medicine. His education began at Harvard, where he earned a bachelor's degree in 1965, and continued at Columbia University, where he received his M.D, noted the Trenton Times. He became an orthopaedic surgeon, chairing Princeton Medical Center’s orthopaedic surgery department from 1991 to 2002. He also worked as an assistant clinical professor of orthopaedic surgery at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Dunn carried over his knowledge of medicine into another field that he loved: aviation. A senior aviation medical examiner and aircraft accident examiner for the FAA, he was himself a licensed pilot and flight instructor. He died May 21 at University Hospital in Stony Brook, N.Y.
