The San Francisco Chronicle notes that Sarah Gregory, a 1975 Radcliffe graduate, died on May 11 of chronic illness. She studied history and archaeology and was an ardent reader and creative writer. Gregory's passion for learning was evident in her work at the Smithsonian Institution and National Park Service in Washington D.C., and at the DeYoung Museum in San Francisco, where she contributed to the museum's education programming. An enthusiastic and prolific traveler throughout her life, she frequently voyaged to Europe and explored the American West with friends and family.
Gregory was born in New Haven, Connecticut, but spent much of her adult life in San Francisco, Calif., where she was an active member of the Radcliffe Club. She died in Texas.
