Only days away from the expected due date of her first child, Lindsey Stephenson Brown suffered a brain aneurysm on April 13 and died the next day, according to an obituary in the Dallas Morning News. Brown’s baby, Hudson Stephenson Brown, was delivered by emergency Caesarean section on April 13. Despite a slow heart rate at birth, the baby is doing fine, the paper reported.
Brown grew up in the Boston area and earned a bachelor’s degree in government from Harvard in 1996. Fluent in Spanish, she lived, worked and traveled extensively in several Central and South American countries before relocating to Texas to pursue an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. Most recently, she had been living in Dallas with her husband, Chad Brown, and working for Frito-Lay where she excelled at strategic planning and marketing the company’s brands online.
“Lindsey brought a ray of sunshine into any room she entered,” wrote Jami Smith, a friend of Brown’s, in an online condolences book. “I am blessed to have known her.”
