Professions: General counsel of Nabisco Brands and Avon Products; board member of Osco Industries; began his legal career at the law firm of Carter Ledyard & Milburn; in 1961, joined Standard Brands, later to become Nabisco Brands, where he rose to senior vice-president and general counsel; remained there through the RJR-Nabisco leveraged buyout in 1988-89, the largest buyout in history.
Passions: Current events, history, maps, and international travel; member of the New England Society in the City of New York; member of the Harvard Club and the Montclair Golf Club, where he was an avid golfer.
Degrees: J.D. Harvard, 1957; A.B. Harvard, 1954.
Death: October 17, 2006 at his home in Glen Ridge, NJ.
