Professions: President of the Whiten Machine Works in Central Massachusetts; president of the AMF Baking Machinery Division in Richmond, Virginia; held executive positions with The White Motor Company and Harris Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio in the 1950's and 1960's; served as an officer on the USS Dentuda in World War II and participated in three war patrols and the atomic bomb tests on Bikini Atoll.
Passions: Board member for both the Charlottesville Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Alliance of Interfaith Ministry ("AIM"); was Master Gardener and volunteered with the County Agriculture Extension Service; served on the vestry at St. Paul's Ivy Episcopal Church and was its long time treasurer; enjoyed reading and athletics.

Death: September 27, 2006 at his home in Charlottesville, VA.
