Inspector General, Justice Department
Age: 52
Homebase: Washington, D.C.
Precis: Glenn A. Fine was named Inspector General, and since has been clearing off the Justice's Department's full plate, dealing with illegal immigrants, smoking out the source of drugs in prisons, and conducting 9/11 and antiterrorism investigations.
Work In Progress: He spent his most recent years flushing out the insecurities in that plague national security. As the questionable or “harsh” interrogation tactics conducted in dark military prisons come into light, Glenn Fine is sitting first row and the Senate Judiciary Committee which is now reviewing the protocols for anti-terrorism, the questionable treatment of prisoners during interrogations, and the boundaries between legal methods of extracting information and torture.
Fallback: As he co-captain of the Harvard varsity basketball team, he could take up his offer to play in the NBA, although it may be 30 years expired.
