Thinking of a Dean
by The Crimson has reported on this previously, but yesterday Marcella Bombardieri in the Globe reported that Dean Jeremy Knowles has stepped down from his post. Knowles is suffering from prostate cancer, which has apparently worsened in recent days. Knowles has apparently been receiving treatment for the disease for months, but told no one and took no time off from work until now.
“All we can do is wait and hope and wish him well,” Derek Bok said of Knowles at yesterday's faculty meeting.
We do indeed wish Dean Knowles well. Our prayers for a speedy recovery go out to him.
